Snowbirds warm up in Worcester

Larry and Ilaria DeBreto made a timely exit from Northern Minnesota to the UK in early April. As they flew out of Duluth yet another mega snowstorm blew in. They were just as charmed by the quaint villages and historic sites as they were by the mild temps, and they never complained once about the occasional shower. We returned with them to several of our favorite destinations; Windsor Castle, Hereford, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, and York. During the York excursion Larry and Ilaria popped over to the Youth Hostel where we were staying with the 20 UMD students and coordinated the Saturday night meal…italian meatloaf! The students raved about the meal! On their own Larry and Ilaria traveled north to Newcastle to see Hadrian’s Wall, one of a few remaining must-see sites on Larry’s Bucket List of Roman Ruins. Here are a few of our favorite DeBreto “Kodak” moments.
